Morales Family

We are the Morales family, which includes Janette, Luis, and our children. Tortilla Food Truck started at 2019 after attending classes offered by Urban Ventures. These classes focused on families who will be helped to achieve financial independence. One of the counselors encouraged us.” to start a catering company”, because we loved cooking and Mexican food, we thought this was a good idea. We started offering our catering services to friends and family. At the time, Luis was experiencing health problems, which led us to add more vegetables and plant-based foods to our diet and introduce healthier foods. We decide to add this options to the menu, the vegan dish had been successful, as our customers have always been looking for healthy & vegan options. Now you can find our delicious Mexican food from April in different parts of Minneapolis, so the community can taste our dishes. Additionally we have our food truck for for parties and private events for 2024!

Giving Back to community

As a socially responsible business, we sponsor catered teachers meetings, student graduation ceremonies in El Colegio High Schools each year. We take pride in giving back to the community that supports us. Also, we host cooking and business classes to El Colegio and Urban Ventures and continue to donate free or reduced meals to organizations like CLUES, Lake Street Works, and more.
